Kayla is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in Florida. Kayla has been working on obtaining licensure since March of 2021. In Florida, to apply for independent state licensure, a counselor must obtain an additional 1500 hours of supervised clinical experience post-graduation to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Kayla is presently working diligently to complete her clinical hours. 

Kayla graduated from the University of Central Florida’s Marriage & Family program in December of 2020. During her time in grad school, she worked with both couples and individuals in practicum. In her internship, she worked full-time at an inpatient psychiatric unit during COVID. She worked with a team of doctors, nurse practitioners, and other therapists to combat the community’s severe and persistent mental illnesses. Kayla has also worked as a Registered Behavior Technician since 2018 and has been serving individuals with Autism and their family. Kayla finds meaning in counseling and calls it her passion. Learning new and creative ways to counsel is what she loves to do and is ready to serve you!
